A common goal, we surely share.

To reach out to the children

And let them know we care.

We celebrate words in print from the heart

For talented writers meet today,

To share their books and knowledge

They've learned along the way.

Hand in hand, we try to help

Giving all we can to St. Jude, but more...

We stand united, with hopes and dreams

That a cure will come knocking at the door.

We celebrate literacy starting with the little ones

To the old who love to read.

Showing how it expands your mind

And teaches you...indeed.

Hand in hand, today we see

How lucky we really are,

As we pray for those families whose kids are ill.

Let's all wish upon a star.

That one day they'll find a cure

For the little ones out there.

Make them better, give them hope

Still letting them know we care.

Hand in hand, we celebrate

As thanks is not enough to say
