Caliginous Sea

Written some time ago...during another lifetime.....

 

Bobbing
Bobbing

Rocking on this
Pitch black sea of angst

Why was I placed here?

Trying to remain calm
In a desolate ocean

No one to save me...

Calm
Calm

Trying not to think
Of the creatures that swim beneath
Waiting to devour me

My heart

My soul

My will to live...

Waiting

Waiting...

What am I to learn
From all of this?

What pearl of wisdom
Am I to take from
This treacherous sea?

Hope

Hope...

Hope is the pearl

It shines vibrant
In the ink black waters

I try to touch it....

But, it is just out of reach...

Rest
Rest...

I breathe deep and try
To relax and build my strength up

To reach for Hope

Tomorrow...

Waiting
Waiting....

Do not be anxious. Waiting for what you can have is the best thing you can do without anxiety. It is sometimes hard, but the sea is forever there and does not end. It is a peaceful thing to me, so find peace in your sould too.

Kerry you did yourself proud with this write for as I read it I couldn't help as an old sailor to imagine real shipwreck survivors being tossed about in the ocean.
