The birth of one's dear child
In memory does it last
Emotions kept on file
Thank goodness for they grow up fast
The love is so overpowering
From a loving parent it is cast
These little creatures are miracles
But my, they grow up fast
And when one thought no other could
Fill one's heart with love to last
Along comes another, there's love to share
But alas, they grow up fast
The years go by and toys are left
For school, music, friends amassed
They're becoming their own persons
And yes, they grow up fast
My heart grew with pride as they marched
And on trumpets they did blast
The first thing they could do that I couldn't do
With happy tears, they grow up fast
My sons are now fine young men
And my pride in them cannot be surpassed
They've grown into two kind-hearted souls
And yes, they grew up fast
wonderful thoughts Kerry...
