I Bend like the reed that grows solitary. Beside the stillness of lakefront peace.
Dipping outstretched arms into cool rippling water. Kissed by the wind. when winter comes again, I huddle close beneath wind tossed leaves.
Careful, Careful, Not to break ever waiting, Longing. Biding my time for you to arrive That in your loving warmth I bask; and once more I grow kissed by Sunlight, reaching- standing tall under your love filled Eyes.
If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
