In the order of the universe

In the order of the universe

Our troubles rate slight place

But on a personal level

The lines upon the face

Tell a different story

Of suffering and much pain

A universe where men

Can hurt for simple gain

Out of greed or envy

To take, to grab, to steal

But all will get their recompense

When they, one day, will feel

Every pain they have inflicted

As hurts to them rebound

Until this universe becomes

A place where joy is found

Love will return and never

Hide away again in fear

And children will walk safely

No predators come near

No fighting needed for freedom

Darkness gives way to light

Resources shared, no selfishness

Gone pain’s endless night

Unsafe hedonism vanishes

As the brain takes back its role

And each human values both

Their body and their soul

I shall try to play my part

To make this dream come true

But finally it will depend

On you, and you, and you
