I wonder what has happened
To the morning I enjoyed
Filled with days of wonder
Happiness and joy

The morning is behind me
My boyhood fun is done
I loved it and I miss it
I guess I had my run

Afternoon has sneaked up
And caught me by surprise
This time, too, shall pass me
Before I've blinked my eyes

The day is ending quickly
And soon the night will come
I'll wonder where the day went
As Horizon hides the sun

Then lo, a new day beckons
As I leave this mortal coil
I pray the Lord will have me
Sees fit to have my soul

So spend your morning wisely
It'll pass you quickly by
Then afternoon and evening sets
Then darkness beckons nigh

Twilight comes and yet is brief
As sunlight glows anew
He takes you in His loving arms
Just Him, and Him, and you
