Magnificent in the uniform of the Red, White and Blue.

Extraordinary bravery often comes to the fore,

Reactions learned from training, drilled in hard, before.

Incredible feats have been performed in the heat of battle,

Capable as possible, trained so brains won't rattle.

Amazingly well their jobs are done,

Noble service by each daughter and son!
 

Soldier pledges their life with their service, they don't ask;

Obligation drives the heart to faithfully fulfill each task.

Loyalty to country, to family, is stamped upon each heart,

Dedication and determination, to always do their part.

Integrity, honor, and faith for peace, keeps them in the 'zone',

Eternity comes too often, for comrades who won't come home,

Reality, all too often, is days filled with tension and fear,

                 and when they're back, all joy is witnessed in a tear!
