I've been there and done that,
I've won and lost and more.
I thought that I was in control,
and would manage the final score.

Then a storm blew into town,
and leveled houses flat.
We prayed for God to help us through,
we'd never been here, or done that.

Now I've been through, and I've done that,
lived through a tragic storm,
and when I asked God for His mercy,
His arms surrounded me, and kept me warm.

I've been there, and I've done that.
I wonder why I took so long,
to find out what is really true ,
and learn where I've been wrong.

Now I'm here and I've done that,
I took Jesus into my heart.
I'll trust in prayer and guidance
and learn to do my part.
