My father was a wonderful man
Who sacrificed his all
To help his children have a better life
Despite his poor health and some strife

He was a very upright man, just and fair
His love and kindness beyond compare
I treasure his memory for what he did for me
He showed me what was right and how he cared for me

I miss him so much despite the passing years
Indeed I have shed many tears
So sad he did not see my children
He would have given such love to them over the years

We had a special bond
Of that there is no doubt
His heart was pure
And his words of wisdom like a cure

To complain was not his style
He would always go that extra mile
He worked hard all the time
To make our lives sublime

He never saw me drive a car
Which always saddened me
But he knew I loved him dearly
And that is a great comfort to me

Dad I thank you for your love and constant care
Even when things were hard to bear
I thank you for all the things you have done
To build a strong platform for your son.
