Nighttime seems to be my enemy
I’m alone and no one’s there,
If only I could have someone to reach out to,
Someone to help me through
Can anyone see me living here?
I often think to myself
Do I get peace, love and joy?
Or do I give it to myself?
They say, “ call me when you need me,
Don’t go through this alone”
Don’t lose your life or lose yourself
Let go of this; move on.”
Somebody please help me understand
How do I let go?

How am I suppose to know?
But I’ve figured it all out now
I’m only alone if I believe
God is always by my side
And has promised never to leave.
