A walk through a cemetery where goodness and evil both dwell.
Song birds huddle closely
when looking upon the
dark side of the moon
howling shadows
simper behind trees
dreaming silly thoughts
dance on gothic crypts
where stone gargoyles
sigh in their gilded cages
fireflies gather round them
beaming lights upon
stone carved faces
stoic, heroic and afraid
Grave stones abate
on a night of sadness
a stone angel bows in prayer
wistful, and smiles gently
a beam lights her left profile
as a nightingale sings a refrain
