Disconnected by space and time,

I playfully hold the sun.

I transform words of wisdom

because the work is fun.

Trying to stop the passing time

is not a time well spent.

Wake up, because you own your life,

you surely do not rent.

As time goes on, and always will,

you set your pace in life.

You can't go back to yesterday,

to prevent your present strife.

The trick is just to get it right,

review before you run,

rather than apologize

or try to stop the sun.

Words of wisdom surely. I too often leap before I think. It's a hard habit to break and I've spent a lifetime working on it, but still I do it. It's good that you've nailed it here.

The Gestalt of this poetry speaks volumes. We MUST live in the here and now. Stay away from the past because it already happened and don't live more into the future than you have peeled counting sticks doled out. My tarot card THE CALENDAR STICKS compliments this writing well I think. The ancients had it right measuring time at the blue pillar slabs at Stonehenge by the way the sun set upon on them. Sands through the hour glass, so are the DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Thank you Michael.
