I know it's out of season, but here is sample verse from my new book for young children from 4 - 7 years.

EASTER CHICK
A baby chick is
An awful choice
To be an Easter treat.
Too old to be an Easter egg
And much too young to eat!

Jaysus, Lonny, I saw the title of this and wondered (just briefly) if you were gettin' 'cheeky'... (think 'naughty'.. hehe).
I can't deny the others' here... eating the Easter chick could cause a young'n a bit of chaos... the poetry is A-One, hilarious... I'm wondering if it might not be a more 'visually' appealing giggle to a bit older bunch... say... 10 - 12 yr olds. I mean to help... not criticize.

Jeez, Londis, trying to scare the poor babes? ;) Still, it's better than pockets full of posies and ashy disease. Post a few more, would you, all together so we can get a feel for the essence of the book.

Donkey-Donk has moved to a new farm, and as much as she tries, she just can't find a job she can do. Includes over 20 adorable photos of Donk trying her best...
Princess Geneveive has a wonderful home, with humans who love her. She and her humans try to talk to each other but Genevierve dosn't speak human and her humans don't speak dog. Genevieve often wishes she had another dog to talk to.
