My head goes around thinking about how this poem evokes the fun of lovemaking and how it mirrors the joy of riding a merry-go-round. Hoping to catch the brass ring in the process.

Nice play on the brass ring idiom, in fact the piece is sprinkled with clever references. It's a trip down memory lane for folks of a certain age

nice blend of "Spinning Wheel" and Wordsworth's "Intimations" ... I remember Deja Vu ... great album! "lie me down in the green grass and let me do my stuff!" 'I'm your second hand news, I'm your second hand news!" Always was a sucker for the Mac Attack! Gonna see Fleetwood and Co. soon enough! Great poem, good memories.... and then there's Joni with her carousel imagery in the "Circle Game"... ahhh when will it end!? Never, I hope! Peace to you as this new year whooshes on by!
