Time I spent lamenting you leaving

Time I spent wondering where I went wrong

 Painful years of heart attacks

 Years of me wondering if you were coming back

Surprise I survived the pain

Thought it was the end of me when you walked out.

  Wondering if I was too deep in the pit

 Years of me trying to climb out

Experiencing pain I never knew I would

 Me trying to turn my life around

Yet still trying to win you back

It killed me to watch you turn your back

 I should have left you behind

Instead I shed bitter tears and forgot ME

All two years I had a sideline audience

Waiting for me to heal to be able to see the light again

My side audience has moved center stage

I found someone to make me LIVE again

Life once more is worth living

My pain has vanished into the winds

Now all I have is electricity

That lights up my world
