A Prayer I ask you to hear me if You still can hear The voices of those who have no one but You. I ask not for power, I ask not for wealth, I ask not for glamour, for fame or health. I only ask for a passage to pass through, One that will neither offend nor annoy Those I encounter, those I deploy. I ask You to give me just that one hope That I can exit with dignity, as I have come thus far, From this world, and arrive to where You are.
Being a practitioner at times of poetry formed into prayer, I am always glad to find lines that sometimes reflect my own thoughts directed at the Lord. This is beautiful and a pleasure to read Lakshmi. Bob
Contraband Marriage, traveling along the hemline of loving after incarceration, is a love story written in lyric and free form, set in reality with a different ever after.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
This is exceptional, Lakshmi. Its one I WISH I had written myself. This is a keeper.
Love and blessings,
