The Ulysses in Me
The flavour of life has changed. Every few decades tend to change it.
I hold on to time, that slips through my fingers; memory malingers,
But Time marches on. What I grew up on, what I was made to believe,
Is all outdated, is insipid, stripped off those glossy clothes I wore so proudly.
A newer age must come with newer values that make a mockery of us.
I need to grow young, proceed in reverse gear, to mount the horse of success.
I need to shoot down advancing time and beckon my prime state in which
I can live, love and laugh out false fortune’s crimes against me. I need to fight
Like a young hero comes and outdoes all adversity. My effort must be more
Than his, but its result the same. I need to take my lessons from Ulysses
Who played this game before me and has become a name.
