A Journey

Going on a journey, resets the mind,
A point of beginning, the past left behind.
As though all there is, is there just to see.
What ‘was’ is switched off; what 'will be' will be.

There are two places which the journey connects.
Itself it brings forward, all else it rejects.
Fancies are awakened, imaginations run wild.
The old man gets pricked up, as though he were child. 

The journey of body, like the journey of soul, 
Changes life entirely, the drift and the goal.
The mind it refreshes, vitality renews.
New avenues it brings forth, without life’s old blues.
