The last prayer

Prayer to My Lord

Hear my prayer, O Lord, Hear my prayer O Lord!

How should I tell you the pain of my heart?

Hear, hear my prayer, my prayer pray hear.

Lord you can see the pain of my life, do I need to tell you?

Do I really need to tell you of my pain, the pain that tears my breast?

You can hear all, feel all, all the calls/pains that tear apart,

And take the life out of me, till I bleed and leave the last breath;

Bidding the last adieu to what precedes my journey to the other world.

Thanks to all of you. It was a moment of dejection that fathered forth this poem. God is kind and never lets the pain remain for long just as he rarely lets everlasting joy reside by us before we are in heaven.

Yes He hears you Lakshmi. Just believe. Mary

Although we can petition God in prayer, I myself prefer to praise him at all times. If my God sees fit to help me in my pain then let that be so. I love this form, which is spontaneous and truly heartfelt. Thank you for putting it up Lakshmi. Bob

I hope the upliftment that is required for these words is forthcoming....in a way that truly helps...

This seems uncharacteristic of you. Leaves me confused…

43 Haiku and 4 poems of a Wayward Sailor by Mike Walling

Haiku of a Wayward Sailor” encompasses both haiku and poems. Many of the haiku are based on my experiences at sea.
