Just a short reflection on Life

As We Go Through Life

As we go through life we have to make so many decisions and plans,
Even as a small child we find so many of these decisions are in our hands,
It is said that in whichever way the twig is bent so the tree will grow ,
So it is up to us, whether we have Heaven or Hell, through life, as we go,

Although in most instances the situations we find ourselves in, matter a lot,
It’s how we deal with life’s problems, determines whether we survive or not,
If we protest and rant and rave about the unfairness of all things, we create our own hell,
If we accept what we are given and deal with it as best we can, we get on well,

We always only need to look for a moment , to see others in a far worse plight,
Battlers swimming against the currents of an unfair life,
Facing the unknown future squarely, still able to raise a grin,
On being asked,” How are you going?” , reply,” Not bad for the state we are in”,

How much better to be like this, than constantly moan and groan,
About the unfairness of all things, being left with nothing, all on their own,
Stand back for a moment and see why their situation is like this,
Just by crying foul and complaining will do nothing to right a problem that is amiss,

Take it from one who has been there and done that,
You have to face up and hit out when it is your turn to bat,
No good just dodging the balls until you are out,
Stand tall, strike, hard and knock those problems about.
