high above the heaven's bliss
here where no mortal dare stand
beauty of the stars in her lips
beauty of the earth in her hands
all amidst the bluest skies
only blueness dwelt in her
alone she laid down while she died
eyes fixed only far down on earth
deep one time in her dreaming still
while she stared on sigh below
a rush of smiles her heart was filled
as she beheld him sing her song
right then she took her wings down
lovely they fell as she flew
will this be right or will she drown
to meet this mortal all she knew
down there they stood still awhile
with smiles on each other's face
and to all else she would then lie
just to be with this loving grace
'round the wilderness they went
places no heaven can sing
for with each other love they felt
love no angel can ever bring
one night while they laid asleep
the gods then took her away
away from this true love so deep
from these arms where she'd rather stay
high above the heaven's pit
here where this sadness she cried
this fallen angel never fit
her wings, her smiles, her songs, have died
she laid on clouds, all but same
her tears then showered the lands
then the mortal cried out her name
rain! my love!
as he caught her tears in his hands.
