sit i up here a smallness
atop this tow'ring fellow
with his eyes see i glories
unending repeating so
like sunrise
and sunset for that matter
and his automatic breath
up and down i go about
sit i on this jointing ledge
what profundity i've met
that of an eagle bald, old
from wisdom gained 'bout his flights
those kept hidden, never told
knowledge of that high redwood
head tall and skins wrinkled wrought
from old lovers' names etched deep
'to wounds it selfishly sought
sunset then met i a moon
whose age belittled me more
'twas his whispered beauty though
which snowed me to a tranced awe
never back down wish i was
always atop wish i could
i mind not my littleness
it's the one way to know you
Greetings.
