Some may call it fate while others call it destiny but the simple truth is when you come face to face with your soul-mate you know the moment you look into their eyes!

In The Eyes of a Soul-Mate...

When surfing the west coast, on the waves could you feel me?

In the adrenalin rush with your heart beating fast,

could you hear my heartbeat?

Could you see me on the distant shore, cheering you on?

When shrimping the gulf coast in the salty air,

did you taste my lips when they brush yours?

When watching the sunset, could you smell my perfume?

As the boat gently rocked you to sleep,

did you feel my fingers run through your hair?

When fighting for our freedom, in your dreams could you see me?

In your nightmares, did you hear me whisper your name?

When you were scared, did my embrace comfort you?

When you were injured, did you feel me beside you in bed?

Many years later gliding on the wings of destiny

I knew it was you, when I looked into your eyes

My soul-mate had finally found me...

At first I thought you were a mermaid (;-)), but then I realized that you were writing about finding that one and only in the most beautiful way.

Ahhh . . . Yes indeed, that is the way it should be for everyone, to finally meet face to face and eye to eye with their soul-mate. Lovely poetry, my friend.
