Quiet moments in my lavender fields

Luscious Lavender... Ah, the smell of fresh lavender The first thing in the morning Is exciting and beautiful I brush my fingertips over the tops of the buds And the scent adheres to my hand A fresh drink of water releases the aroma Into the air and is carried down to the valley Such a simple pleasure in the early morning light Hues of purple as far as the eye can see The mountain side is wrapped in a lavender ribbon of harmony My favorite color...my favorite scent...and it all belongs to me! All we get here in Texas is bluebonnets� Beautifully portrayed for both color and aroma.

I am a lavender person myself and have it growing in my yard. In the fall, my granddaughters and I collect the blossoms and make sachets. We place them in our pillow cases. Try it! I really enjoyed this poem!!!
