Here I Stand is a poem that mirrors the thoughts and emotions of man when he is plagued with feelings like guilt, remorse, awe, and anxiety.

Here i stand gazing at the sky, wishing that i like a bird could fly. Though my heart beats fast like a cheetah racing in the wild,i fear my resolve is not as strong but rather mild. Here i stand, gazing at the mirror of deeds in search of my conscience,a bright and burning need. But what stares back at me is a man that doth more harm than good, and i with all thy shame devour my guilt. Here i stand, upon the edge of remorse.. Here i stand Here i stand....

i love this heartfelt piece...read it 3 times to get the full effect...must agree with ronald a re-structuring of your lines would make it even more profound...easier to read because so many areas deserve to be dramatized with a line break. a nice write harry...look forward to more...pmedlin

The first stage to recovering is understanding the problem. Here I Stand addresses that. It would help if you placed a space after each comma, or even a line to make your work more readable.

Harry,
I also gaze at the sky and wonder why in my life did I do some of the things I did. Unfortunately, we can't undo them. March forward Harry, put the past behind you. Make your future better than your past. Have faith in yourself. We could all learn from your poetry, Harry. None of us is perfect.

Blessings to you,
+ Linda

DID YOU KNOW THAT...'ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD...'(ROM 3:23-THERE IS NO 'PERFECT' PERSON)AND...'HAVING DONE ALL TO STAND...WE STAND...'(EPH 6:12-13-GOD KNOWS IT ALL, THUS WE DO ALL WE CAN DO AS WE 'PRESS ON' STANDING UNDER THE AUSPICES OF HIS MERCY AND GRACE THROUGH 'TRUE' REPENTANCE).CONSIDER...YOU CANNOT DO IT ON YOUR OWN BUT, (GAL 2:20)...'HE' WILL DO IT FOR YOU, IF, YOU WANT HIM TO...' THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS AWESOME WORK. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
