A protest poem

'Resistance'

Do we hear the voices?
That stir in the wind of oblivion
The individuals who live and die,
In the dark nights of resistance

To be lost and gone forever,
The character of their being
A note on paper,
That flutters in the wind

The last days to remember,
On some forgotten place
Those hearts that create,
A pain to circle the world

The annexation of their dreams,
To live and die unknown
To the end of everything,
As they cry for justice

And they are us,
And we are them
Lost and alone,
In the dark nights of resistance

This poem has much depth, and is right on the mark. Resistance can be both good or bad, depending on one's perspective. Resisting a corrupt govt. is good. resisting vaccines is bad.

Yes, I believe you are right. More of us resist than are known. But there are the famous resistors somehow, like Nelson Mandela, suffer great loss and tragedy and still rise above to right the wrongs, not only against them, but against so many others.

Without resistance, there can be no change.
