This is the hundredth poem I've posted on this site. It's about survival through all the struggles, and finding meaning at the end of it.

'Sweet Life'

.Did they say everything

Would be okay?

Did they know it would

As they walked away?

Listening in the dark,

For consolation

For hope,

For preservation

The longings for someone,

To see

I'm sinking, I'm drowning,

I'll never be free

To go back to great times,

To be carefree again

The certain, uncertainty,

In a world full of pain

So climb and climb,

Until you find

The strongest person,

Is you inside

Heaven can wait,

There's more to give

There's dreams undreamed,

There's a sweet life to live

There is much to be said for grabbing one's bootstraps and getting back in the race. But there comes a time in everyone's life when that no longer works. I think acceptance of that fact makes it a lot easier to roll with the punches.

I certainly would like to see what's around the corner, like Michael, but I'm okay if that is not to be. I've experienced enough in this lifetime to last several. Who would've thought that a "cloud" of ready information would rule our lives!

I don't know what's around the corner, but I think I'll stick around to find out. At Least that's my view on life.
