'Being alive'

You can't have,

A little bit of life

You've got to go,

All the way in

It's not a process,

That you create

It's an everything,

There's no escape

It's got to have passion,

There must be dreams

You've got to embrace it,

And split all the seams

You make the music,

You turn the page

You feel the emotion,

And all the rage

There must be laughter,

There has to be love

You won't fit in,

Or be a slave

You can run,

At a terrible rate

But it won't define you,

When you make a mistake

You'll give it all you've got,

And then find more

Pick yourself up,

When you're down on the floor

The days will fly,

You've learned to survive

Better all than nothing,

Is being alive
