In every shade of light
Hidden from your eyes
The spirit that won't be quenched
Those hours that don't repent
Those loves that you once knew
Distant and compelling
In every moment spent
Chasing the freedom to express
All the love that you possess
Some other place that lies
Some secret hope that flies
In burning suns or moonlight beams
Sketched in silken seams
That flow in every hour
Of being alive
You had me drifting off into "some other place." In a single poem writing about love, life, creativity and other things while in a daydream state we all move into in those times we are thinking about our lives and where they are going.
