It's been one year since my father died and I just felt like writing this.

A year has passed
And life moved on
Who would have guessed,
Where we have gone

No birth has graced
Our weary family
No wealth has amassed
To make us merry

But life progressed
Beyond the grief
We have traveled
Towards belief

What happened,
To the lives
Of those he loved

What passed,
In the months
Since he departed

My heart has cried

His life lived
His body vanished

But we have survived
