One day it will happen again That the light will turn to rain Not just nature's tears will fall But encompassing body and all The pain is bound to return To haunt us in every turn The deep cutting pain of loss That will keep our souls tossing Fear resides in us all at all times Even if it is hidden sometimes Chilling our souls and hearts Until the day that we depart But all these things of which I'm sure Are distant because you are here As much as I may hold you It is a shared embrace that's true I can’t predict when it will start Or how it will effect our heart But I can say that I will be there Whenever this path gets here You are my strength to fight When nothing is right We will find a way to stay above Because it is the labor of love
