Very true of writers. I had a friend who was always editing her first rough drafts as she wrote them, and couldn't get much down on the page. I told her to 'free fall' and edit nothing. Write like she was the only one who would ever read it. Then...after a few days, edit. She's been writing like crazy and had a wonderful article published in a fairly large newspaper! So...loosen up those grammar grundies and let it just flow...
I know the feeling! It can be so hard to just write it down. Your mind races and before you can get to pen and paper or a computer the words are "poof" just gone...I get frustrated when I have lines running through my head that don't make sense but I write them down anyways and when I look back I have about 3 different incomplete poems written down! And then of course I never fnish them cause they get lost or the calico chews them up :)
