You and I are still here
With our souls laid bare
Holding each other with care

Each day brings a new journey
For us to follow for all to see
Hoping to find our way free

Simply walking down the road
With no care or heavy load
Making prose into odes

Another day with a bright dawn
All our fears have withdrawn
Not worrying about those gone

After noon, we press forward
Over streams, we go onward
A bright future to look toward

As night falls on the trail
Our weariness does prevail
Our bodies ever so frail

Sleep overcomes our beings
And we must be fleeing
To the land of all seeing

Just to start the same trip
At much of the same clip
Maybe tomorrow we’ll skip!
