For us to behold

The world has an essence

Of material things

Life has the semblance

Of permanency

These things we hold dear

In the simple moments

These things we find scarce

In precious times

But it is the timid heart

That guides us

And the endless soul

That proves us

The heart beating inside

That gives us love

The soul’s glowing eyes

That gives us hope

Each of these things

We take for granted

Each of these emotions

Are too fleeting

So hold on to hope during

Our time in the world

And love like there’s no end
