I’ve forgotten the haiku I composed,
Awake—wide awake!—at 3 a.m.,
Seeing fireflies behind our home,
I’ve no memory now of it at all…
But I do remember the fireflies!
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.

enjoyed knowing you saw those fireflies, we haven't had many this year, maybe too damp, lots of rain
