and bring everyone else along with them

the thin gauze seems a little out of place

we would otherwise see

i know all of my own imperfections

much more clearly than you think

i have to see, and i do see

and i learn by what i see

but i shouldn't be so shocked

when you don't seem to believe

i haven't heard what you've heard,

and

i haven't seen what you've seen

but no one will ever understand

if they never look

with a little more sincerity,

and a little more intensity

find the truth and beauty inside

they've been screaming to be heard

i cannot stand here any longer without

exploding from my seat

jumping and shouting to be heard...
