The detail in this poem is fantastic. 'shingled cottage gray with salt', 'the aged ben franklin/simmered with the coats of driftwood', 'as the atlantic roared its pleasure/conquering the mountainous boulders in triumph/like a dali figure balancing the sea on his knee', stood out for me. Loved the poignancy in the final stanza, tinges the piece with sadness and gives a feeling of the speaker yearning for nostalgia.
My book of poetry is being redone by me, I have a beautiful cover designed and the book will have a few more than 200 poems in it. I am going to have it printed on demand here in Canada. When it is done I will let you know when it is done and if anyo
