From Hostage and other new and unpublished poems

                       Where is this place?

It is dark and obscured and feels like I have fallen into eternity.

Has anyone named it?  Who can live here yet alone know who they are?

No light from a star can make its way in.

Sometimes I feel strange and lost like Alice did, always growing, always changing and coming out of it unrecognizable, never the same  person.

A million reflections of myself I can see  as though I looked through a prism. And a million eyes are looking back at me.

The world continues to revolve in the deep dark navy blue of the universe. Its stars are icy baby blue.

Why did I come here? Have I lost my way?

I am falling, falling, falling forever in an endless space  and I feel my very soul quake and change.

My life is being rearranged. Never again will I be the same person.

So how can I fit anywhere?

I have grown too much and too quickly for the world to tailor a suit for me.

I have grown out of the clothes I have worn since birth.

I have changed my mind about many things and my ideas of worth.

The world can never really know me. I have to get reacquainted with my true self. The people I have encountered here have been little help.

I cannot borrow another mans wardrobe and  I reject the definition of self I have been told.

I like this and feel the feelings of outgrowing my place and wondering where could ever be home.

I sense a search for meaning
and identity
and purpose.
And someone well on her way to finding them.
Exceptionally well written.
