There's someone at

some distant place,

who simply can't make

out your face because

he is so far away.

He can't really make

out a thing.

And his vision has

become so blurred

that what he sees he

can't be sure.

Is it human or

alien?

With what and how can

he begin?

Though he closes his big brown eyes,

the voices and noise penetrate his mind.

And he believes the messages they have

sent. Differences are a sin and

they can never be forgiven.

He scrutinizes anyone

who isn't like him.

They don't want the same things

he does and so he believes

there's something wrong

Well, what do you know?

They all look human.

Hey man, what do you think

you're doing ?

You don't understand.

Don't blame us,

when you fail to see the

truth.

You're outside looking through

a window, giving in to distortions

and illusions. What do you know?

Could it be time to let go?

So, do you think everyone is an

anomaly because you believe the

message of society even though,

it's left you blind and you can't find

your way out of the clouds and

confusion?

Didn't they let you down?

When you fell to the ground

they were nowhere around.

Who's the anomaly now?

Your words can be applied to so many of the mindless detractors and their distractions. But why name them? They're everywhere.

An interesting poem that asked questions unknown. I really couldn't try to answer because I'm not sure if it is written from the perspective of some alien viewpoint or simply mental illness viewing others as alien.

Perhaps time will tell.
