Lies

Taken from my book Coming Out of the Closet & Breaking the Chains: Poetic views from the other side of a special education classroom.

 Well, I hear all the stories you’ve been spreading around;

But you’re not going to kick me because I’ll never be down.

Is your life so empty that that’s all you can do?

Is that how you entertain yourself,

By telling people things that aren’t even true ?

That girl is such a slut.

She sleeps around too much.

One man will never be enough.

Always pursuing another man’s love.

Well, I just want to live my life the way I please.

What you say really is of no consequence to me.

I don’t care to hear your one-sided opinions.

I’ve done nothing wrong and don’t need forgiveness.

You’re the one that’s not okay

But you’re going to pay.

All your lies will come back to you someday.

I don’t have to justify myself to you.

I know the difference between a lie and the truth.

That girl is such a slut.

She sleeps around too much.

One man will never be enough.

Always pursuing another man’s love.

That girl has no morals.

She’ll be with someone else tomorrow.

Always needing a man’s touch to soothe her pain.

Nothing with her will ever change.

That's one way to conquer lies. Write it loudly so that the world can see what is the truth and what is a lie.
