O thorny Rose!
Were you easy to pluck
Would your fragrance be as sweet?

Probably the fragrance would not be as sweet. Sometimes we have to work hard to get the sweet things in our lives. This reminds me God wants us to wait for good things to come, forget the past, go on with our lives looking to him for guidance and love. Rose thorns hurt and remind us to be careful.
