At 4th and Walnut in Louisville

Merton wrote The Secular Journal

About his Mother's Day trip to Cuba!

Mohammad Ali camped out at his mother's place in Louisville

After tossing his Olympic Gold medal into the Muddy Waters of the Ohio.

4th and Walnut is the corner where Merton came out from Gethsemane

To counter the Vietnam War. Merton and Mohamed meet in counter point in the Tao

And in Merton's death by shaving electrocution in the TAO of Merton and Mohammed! Read between the lines! Connect the Dots between the words at 4th & Walnut.

Not sure what this signifies so I looked it up. Apparently, Thomas Merton had a spiritual experience at that intersection. The only reference to Mohammed Ali is that the corner now bears a street by his name.
