How terribly exhausting it must be
to be a cat, reclining on a lawn,
lying sprawled out, yet quite elegantly,
while holding all humanity to scorn.
The task of scattiness behind the hedge,
demanding all the frisson of surprise,
or sitting stately on the window ledge
demands more skill than humans realise.
How utterly frustrating it must be
to be always the wrong side of a door!
To exit, or to yawn nonchalantly,
is such a hard decision, furthermore.
While to a layman's eyes it seems like fun,
a cat's life is a most exhausting one.
Enjoyed it very much.

No wonder they lie around all day acting like the world is just too much to get up and face! ;-)

"The Rum Tum Tugger is a curious cat
And there isn't any need for you to doubt it
For he will do as he did, do
And there's no doing anything about it"
-T.S. Eliot/A.L.Weber, Cats.

well done
enjoyed the read, as I type across the determined feline sprawling on my lap and often across the keyboard
