Rose, very often “we” as mere mortals are reminded of the awesome power of “Mother Nature,” my gifted friend. It is by her unyielding power that allows “us” as so-called “human beings” to create the necessary bond needed to survive her vicious onslaught when she is running rampant. Hopefully it is that bond that allows us to embrace the incredible beauty she bestows upon us each and every day, if we permit that astonishing beauty to overcome her wrath. It always saddens me deeply, whenever human beings cannot form the common affiliation needed that will enable “us” to move beyond that destruction which shows no difference as to what or who is in her way when she unleashes her pent-up ferocity. I enjoyed the read, and I do agree with Tommy, you have a lot of wisdom. Thank you for sharing it and your work. Take good care and be well.

Amazing how strong building material in a home is to protect us from Mother Nature but as you point out here even more amazing how strong friendship and love is to really create stronger material to help us along when life deals us personal storms. What a gorgeous song of thanksgiving. I certainly wish I'd read this beautiful poem this summer when I was dealing with Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne. When it was all over, inspite of the horror and damage, there was so much I was thankful for.
