When you have given everything to others, is there a time to stop and ponder, why?

 WHEN IS IT ENOUGH

When you have a moment, stop and take a look,

Read between the pages of your own special book.

Take a look at those, you helped along the way,

Are there just too many, and are they here to stay?

What is it that you need, that makes you yearn for more?

What problems are hiding, behind each and every door?

Take the time to answer, you’ll find the reason why

You just need to be needed, it gives you a special HIGH.

Somewhere in your life, you were not stroked enough,

You really wanted to be that DIAMOND in the rough.

On your way you’ll meet someone, you just pass on by,

If you stop and look back now, they’ve already said goodbye.

You can’t help them all, it makes life so rough,

To tell the ones you know, you’ve finally done enough.

Finish what you started but be truthful to them all,

For you to carry their burdens, you can’t answer every call.

Wise words from a heavy heart. Somehow I've been given the strength to keep helping people with and they like it or not… Most do and tell me how much they appreciate it.

We have our limitations but a smile can go along way and it costs us nothing. Beautiful and uplifting verse.
