I turn on the news

                                     and hear of nothing but violence

                                       Perhaps it's time to speak out

                                         and end this code of silence.                      

                                              Some fight over things

                                           that have no real meaning.

                                              Others kill, even though

                                       they know that's not God's will.

                                                   Stop the violence

                                            and let the love increase.

                                                 Today and every day,

                                                   let there be peace!
