The Conversation

I had a talk with a beautiful man last night

gazing into his eyes, I said, 

"You're  the Son of God, right"

of which he replied,

"It is I who assured you were never denied"

"And the grave would be a place only for your body to lie"

"But Jesus, I have just one question"

"Where were you when I suffered abusive ingestion"

He went on to say,

" I was there through the childhood you suffered"

"Without the skills of survival you acquired you would have been murdered"

"You see my daughter, I was there watching you beg her for mercy"

"I am that I am is why you survived the atrocity"

My reply was, 

"Why"

"Why didn't you punish her and make her suffer"

"Cheryl, it was all in the plan, I am the one that gave you your mother"

"And the men, what about the men when I was raped, abused, and beat"

"And from that torment didn't you learn how to survive in the street"

"There were so many times I covered you with the blood in those dark and dangerous crack houses"

"I even protected you from your lovers spouses"

"Every time you drove drunk"

"It was I that steered so you weren't wrap around a tree trunk"

"Putting you into bed"

"Keeping you from walking amongst the dead"

"Cheryl, the many times you served in prison...

"Your endurance was my purpose for being risen"

"And those two little girls that were left behind"

"I comforted them assuring them peace and a sound mind"

"I sent them to your friend who treated them like they were hers"

"Don't you know that things could've been worse"

"I gave you your first husband that could only be a friend"

"Because it was only he that would stick with you until the end"

"The divorce of course"

"Was because he served his purpose"

"Well Jesus, maybe I should stop crying over spilt milk"

"Yes Cheryl, because salvation doesn't mean living with guilt"

"So do you forgive me for all the people I hurt"

"Yes Cheryl, because you forgave those that ought against you first"

"Cheryl, remember at work, that five dollars you stole"

"Yes Father, but we were hungry and cold"

"I don't need any excuses regarding the money"

"I allowed it, got you fired, and sent you to the Army"

"Wow Jesus, that was pretty Impressive"

"Considering that my bowels of sin was excessive"

"You could have sent me to prison again"

"But instead you were my one and only true friend"

John 15:13-14,

 "Greater love have no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friend, you are my friend, if ye do whatsoever I command you"

"Yes Jesus, and what else would you have me do"

"Finish walking this walk that I am walking with you"

Jeremiah 29:11, 

"For I know that plans that I have for you"

"So this is what I'll have you do"

"Continue being a blessing to others"

"Giving advice to young women and mothers"

"Teaching them what your children taught you"

"Enhancing the awesome grandmother in you"

"And you know that  blessed testimony you share..."

"Give it day and night it will save many lives showing you care"

"Teach young brides how to be good wives"

"Teach them the way of the bee, building hives"

"Wow Jesus that a pretty large order"

"Yes, but no one else but you my daughter"

"I have placed you with, " A Man ofGod"

"The three of us are now a squad"

"And that book you've been writing since you were ten"

"Just wade and watch it is still in the plan"

"And now that you know you have no authority or power without me"

"From now on it is only through my eyes you will see"

"But Jesus, what about the suffering of the world"

"Alone you can not save the world Cheryl"

"But, I will give you your every hearts desire"

"As you fulfill, " The Great Commission that is God inspired"

"And I will give you a voice so that all will listen"

"Sitting on their hands with their eyes all a glisten"

"Cheryl, I've given you a beautiful Spirit and your soul is finally at peace"

"And I have put a fire in you that will never cease"

"Remember the burning bush? Your flame no one can put out but me"

"So, come on, and finish walking this walk with Thee"

We continued to walk hand in hand

Leaving only His footprints in the sand

I gazed into his eyes once more

And who I saw was me, my past a front door
