A little prayer to keep the boogey men away.

Poem Artwork

Bedtime Prayer

I wish I may, I wish I might

persuade the vampires not to bite.

I wish I might, I wish I may,

make all the demons stay away.

I wish I can, I wish I could

not need my sharpened stakes of wood.

I wish I could, I wish I can

just stand up to the boogey man.

And I will make it through the night

but if these monsters want a fight

my chances are quite good I'm told

'cause I am thirty-five years old.

Had to chuckle at this cut write, and I have to ask, do you sleep with lights on?
