Country Town was inspired by a summer drive home from work (yes, during these cold months, I felt the need to bring back a feel good, warm piece). It was actually recorded as a song at the local high school, something I never thought would happen.
Country Town Behind the wheel, with the windows down Headin to the heart of this country town Where all worries surface, run around, and drown Way down in this country town The sweet, sweet smell is all around As we groove and bounce to the radio sound We’re on the road and coming home To that place we all adore And now we all wanna just drive on Into the beautiful, sun set at dawn Behind the wheel, with the windows down Far away in this country town The bright sunshine hits your face Releasing your mind to a free foreign place The day’s been long and difficult too We all feel at fault for the things we do And now we all wanna just drive on Into the beautiful, sun set at dawn Behind the wheel, with the windows down Far away in this country town Behind the wheel, with the windows down Headin to the heart of this country town And now we all wanna just drive on Into the beautiful, sun set at dawn Behind the wheel, with the windows down Far away in this country town

This is amazing, Joseph! I was actually singing it as I was reading it! That is neat that it was recorded as a song at a high school. Congratulations on that achievement! I especially enjoyed this since the weather is so nasty. I'm picturing a lovely summer country drive in my head. I can barely get out of my driveway right now. Lol.

Does have real country twang to it. Got me reminiscing about living in the country and the old adage: "Always live east of town, that way you will have the sun on your back going to work and coming home, instead of squinting and trying to see the road up ahead." But keep that radio turned on because you might hear this here song.
