I was walking in Philadelphia on day, and saw a mother with a bounch of kid following behind her. She was talking on her cell phone and the kid tried their best to keep up with her. Thats when this little one stopped with her thumb in her mouth and looked at the homeless man. She looked at her blankie then dropped on his lap. Her mother called and she turned and ran to her. The man just looked after her with a smile in his eyes.
Warm air steaming from medal grates,
Open hands
Needing, pleading
Reaching
From garbage crates
Newspapers blowing
Whirling, twirling
Sticking to arms
And weeds
Humankind--
Minds thinking
Dreaming,
Ignoring lowly needs
Times passing, winter's
Blasting
Bodies closly
Pressed
Eyes not seeing, quickly
Rushing
From such
Neediness
Youthful glairing,
Stairing downward
To a wanting
Haggard face
Curious,
Wondering
Daring and caring
Innocence does not discriminate
Feet running, walking
Then hesitating
A well loved blanket
Falls
Young eyes penetrating
Comunicating
With the ageing
Uniting with each others
Souls
Child wispering,
Old man hearing,
His weary smile
Appears
"It's just my old blankie
Now it's for sharing
You really must
Be cold"
The child's eyes are shining
With love for the seeking
And renewed hope
That there really could be
Love that is blinded of hate
For the needing
With selfless loving
And freely giving
Could she
be an
Angel
From God?
